Other Languages

Punjabi Language:

Those students not choosing to learn French as a Second Language may take Punjabi language courses beginning in grade 5 in two of our elementary schools:

• Harry Sayers Elementary
• Clearbrook Elementary

Students can also take Punjabi at Eugene Reimer Middle in Grade 6-8 and at Rick Hansen Secondary or Abbotsford Senior Secondary in Grade 9-12 

Spanish and Japanese:

These languages are also offered as electives by fluent second language specialists at the High School level in various schools across the district, including Abbotsford Virtual School. Once a basic grasp of a second language has been grasped, further languages often come easily to students.
